The Mosaic House has their very own bar and restaurant called La Loca. The place was packed with people & a DJ spinning music from the 90’s and 00’s. My kind of party. The check-in process was easy and they were prepared to show me to my room! I was greeted with a smile, I paid my remaining balance and I was good to go! At the time of check in I had all of my belongings with me so I was relieved to find that The Mosaic House had an elevator (and a fast
As for the interior of the hostel, it was the most modern hostel I’ve ever seen. The best way to describe it is, a 4 star hotel room with multiple bunk beds. I stayed in an 8 person dorm and I was pleased to find there was more than enough storage under the bed as well as near the door. Unfortunately, you have to provide your own lock but The Mosaic House more than likely have one you can rent during your stay.
I was most pleased to find that each dorm has its own bathroom. Furthermore, the bathroom was extremely clean and modern. The shower uses a glass curtain rather than the traditional shower curtain and the shower head was positioned right above the shower as if it were a waterfall. I had no qualms about this!
As far as breakfast, you have the option to pay €8 or 250 CZK for the breakfast buffet at La Loca each morning. Which was a little on the pricey side when there is not a kitchen facility available. It would’ve been nice to have a guest-only discount! However, coffee and tea are free to those who are staying in The Mosaic House and there are other cafés close by. You also have the option to eat at La Loca restaurant for lunch and dinner should you choose to have your meals there.
As far as overall affordability, I would give Mosaic House a 5 out of 5 stars. I stayed at The Mosaic House during a weekend and paid €16 which is about $20 USD. For the quality of the hostel, the shared facilities and the location, staying at The Mosaic House was an absolute bargain for me.
My Rating = 5/5
I will more than likely stay at The Mosaic House every time I visit Prague. I really enjoyed how easy it was to navigate into city centre from the hostel, as well as the food and shopping options near the hostel. I was recommended to stay at another hostel in the city, but decided to take a chance on The Mosaic House instead due to price differences and I’m glad I did. Whether you’re going to Prague to party or to attend a conference nearby, The Mosaic House is suitable for travelers of all types.
Have you ever stayed at an amazing hostel? If so, how was your experience? Did you find it affordable? Let me know!
Until next time,
